Consider the 2016 election. A study done by the USAPP (US Politics and Policy) done in 2018 showed
that most Hillary Clinton voters in 2016 (almost 70%) did not trust the that votes were counted correctly during the 2016 presidential election. She received 65,853,514 votes. 70% of that is 46,097,459 voters.
Consider the 2020 election. Polls done after the presidential election showed more than 70% of Trump voters did not trust the outcome of the that election. Trump reportedly got 74,000,000 votes in 2020. 70% of that is 51,800,000 voters.
That is almost 98 million Americans who are questioning the election results in the last two presidential
cycles. Hard to believe that there was much overlap between these two voting blocks. The ones happy in 2016 were almost all giddy in 2020 and vice versa.
How can a Republic function when 1/3 of the population does not trust the process? The population of
the US is 330,000,000 and 25% of the population is not old enough to vote. 98 million of 247.5 million
eligible voters are likely never going to trust the outcome of any future election. Especially if they do
not agree with the results. That is not good for the future of our nation, our form of government or our
quality of life.
Two parties controlling every election cycle, forcing third parties to jump through unnecessary hoops just to get on the ballot in many states only making this worse.
Without third parties this nation’s future is growing bleaker by the day. Clearly there are more than two
voices in this country that matter. Consider this about the Iowa U.S. Senate race. A race for a
position that pays $187,000 a year and two parties put over $100 million into the race. Whoever the
winner was has no real voice of their own as they will be expected to vote along party lines to ever get support
from the party again. If they want to get reelected. The only elected officials who seem to have their
own voice are the ones who do not intend to run for reelection or do not need federal party money to
win. This is what our country has come to.
I know it seams impossible, if the Republicans and Democrats have their way it will become more and
more unlikely that a third party will ever have a chance to make a difference. We must try. For our
future and the future of our children and our children’s children we must never stop speaking truth to
power to the parties that are destroying this country.
Join us. Before it is too late to reverse the changes that are being forced upon us.
