Polk County Libertarian Party of Iowa is an affiliate of the Libertarian Party of Iowa

We invite you to the next meeting of the Polk County Libertarians on January 27, 2019 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at the Urbandale Public Library. Our guest speaker will be Ed Wright, current 3rd District Representative to the Libertarian Party of Iowa.

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our January issue discussion, talking suggestions and goals for the 2019 Iowa legislative session. We know the first major snowfall in the metro of the season limited the number of participants. We hope for better weather for the next gathering. Our next issue social will be in February when we talk about the local sales tax option ballot initiatives to be held by four communities this year. The place and date for the gathering are yet to be determined.

GOODBYE 2018, HELLO 2019 and 2020
The 2018 election is over, and we are looking to the next important votes. Municipal elections will be held on November 5, 2019. Then on November 3, 2020, the presidential election will be held. We need to obtain 2% of the vote for the Libertarian presidential candidate, and we plan on using municipal elections to gain experience, voters, and new Libertarians.

The Libertarian Party of Iowa has set its 2019 convention for March 30, 2019, in Cedar Rapids.

We send out two emails a month, and an occasional extra email, to help keep voters and activists informed. We invite you to sign up and learn more about the Polk County Libertarian Party of Iowa.
